5 members of Spectrum are in China and Hong Kong for next two weeks along with our friends the Robonauts and Appreciate.
We started of our journey with a 12+ hour flight to Beijing airport for a short 13 hrs in the city, giving us just enough time to go out to the great wall and back in time to catch our flight to Hong Kong.
The Great was a wonderful experience. The size, complexity, and details and amazing to witness. The engineering invoked in building such a sprawling structure is mind blowing.
Our guides took us to a small local restaurant for lunch. We didn't fit in the dining area so they open up the attached living room of the owner for us to eat. The food was fantastic, Kung Pao chicken, fries potatoes, a flaky cross between a pancake and a tertiary, and much more all of it was fabulous.
After that is was back to the airport to catch our connection to Hong Kong.
We'll be here for a couple days then on to Shenzhen were we will meet up from teams from around China and the US for workshops and the 2015 China Robotics Competition.
